April, 2008: Inspired by the story of Sadako and the thousand cranes, King Open students made a crane peace tree.
They picked a tree to hang the cranes from, because in some African traditions, the symbol of the tree reminds us to strengthen our community roots, plant more ideas, and foster an environment of peace.
