February 17 & 18: Day three & four
We leave Phnom Penh early in the morning and drive north on route 6 for 90 minutes, passing through 65 km of beautiful countryside. When we arrive at The Cambridge School in Kauk Rovieng, our delegation is given a tremendous welcome: walking between long lines of students and arriving at an elaborate ceremony that begins with blessings by 5 Buddhist monks with many, many villagers in attendance.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony performed immediately after the speeches: the wide, red ribbon was cut by Buddhist monks, Ministry of Education dignitaries, and Cambridge High School students.

While visiting The Cambridge School we spent the night in a nearby town, Skun, known for fried trantulas. At first, many of us thought these spiders were fake, until they started moving.

February 18: day four
After spending the day playing with the children at The Cambridge School, we drive north 4 hours to Siem Reap to see the Angkor Wat temples. We have yet another delicious meal and fall into bed.
